I'm currently working as an independent consultant with my own entrepreneurial firm, Cashel Dillon Consulting Inc., launched in March 2006, with two lines-of-business:
(1) Solutions Consulting Services (2) Radio Broadcasting & Media Services.
My initial Solution Consulting mandates since start-up have been within information technology, business operations and project management in addition to radio broadcasting & podcasting.
Other client service areas I can provide Solutions Consulting Services include pre-sales, sales, portfolio management, marketing and service delivery. I completed my studies in radio broadcasting at the Montreal Radio & TV School in May 2006. Since May 2006 I've been a contributor to eleven (11) different programs at RADIO CENTREVILLE, Montreal's CINQ FM 102.3 (88.3 on cable) with listen-live and podcasts available at: http://radiocentreville.com . The multi-cultural, multi-lingual community radio station broadcasting in seven languages.
- I developed, proposed and launched a concept program, The Earth Lounge, an environment and climate-change information program with interviews and Indie Blues & Rock music as producer and announcer in January 2007 (Saturday 10:05 am to 10:30 am.) - Coordinator, Producer and Announcer for the English Information/ News Package (Saturday at 10:00 am; noon) covering News, Weather and Sports since Summer 2007. Over 140-Information Updates.
- Was Co-Host of the Know Your Rights Legal Program (Saturday 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm.) in 2007 and Winter 2008. 60-plus episodes. Also produced 10-episodes and 2-remotes.
- Was Technical Producer of the Wide Awake program (Saturday 9:00 am to 10:00 am.) in 2007 and Winter 2008. Over 50-episodes.
- Was Technical Producer and Assistant Producer for The Arts Notebook program in 2007 and Winter 2008 (Saturday 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.) Over 50-episodes. Produced 1-episode.
- Have covered as fill-in host and producer for episodes of The Flip Side (Urban and R&B music show) and The Jewish Digest.
-In 2006 I was Technical Producer and Sports Announcer from May 2006 through December 2006 for The Scottish Voice program (Saturday 1 pm to 2 pm.) I filled in as news announcer on a few shows. In 2006 I was also Technical Producer and one of the Segment Announcers for the French language program la godasse (Tuesday morning at 9 am). Contributed environment segments to the French language program Planete Montreal afternoon drive program in winter 2007. I was Producer and Announcer a 5 1/2 hour, overnight Indie Rock program titled Twilite 360 that broadcast on December 30, 2006.
Career Profile:
Prior to flying solo I was employed at EDS (Electronic Data Systems) from 1999 to 2005. It was a 6 year stint for me at EDS. My last position at that firm was as a Managing Consultant working on client service delivery, portfolio offering, business development and sales support mandates in the Enterprise Application Software market segment in Canada, the USA, and internationally. From 1999-2002 I was a Senior Project Manager-Program Manager at EDS based in Montreal. In 1999 I was a Project Director at SHL Systemhouse in Montreal prior to the firm's acquisition by EDS.
From 1996-1999 I was the Director of Information Technology at a Montreal based textile firm, Cavalier Textile. From 1994-1996 I was Manager of Information Technology at a division of Dominion Textile in St.Laurent,Quebec.
My traditional career path was Information Technology & Business Operations Professional. Going the entrepreneurial route I'm open to opportunities within IT or on a new paradigm. Grafting radio and media opportunities in with my IT and Business Consulting work (its pays the bills and buys groceries) is the plan.
